
Apples with candied “Marroni” (chesnuts)
Ingredients for 4 servings
- 4 “Renette” apples
- 4 “Marroni canditi Inaudi” (candied chesnuts)
- 200 g of “Crema di Marroni Inaudi” (chesnut cream)
- 1 shot of orange liquor (optional)
- Sugar
- White wine
Preparation
Peel the apples and remove the core, carving a hole inside each apple. Fill the hole with one crumbled candied chesnut. Put the apples on a baking dish, sprinkle with sugar and drizzle with white wine. Bake the apples in pre-heated oven at 180°C for approximately 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, add some water to the chesnut cream and dilute it on a low heat. If of your taste, add a little orange liquor to the cream. Let simmer until the texture becomes creamy, then pour it on the apples and serve warm.
